Peer Review Process

Policy Publication Policy

Meridian: Multidisciplinary Journal of Research and Innovation is committed to upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity. We strictly enforce a Double-Blind Peer Review process, ensuring that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous to guarantee unbiased evaluation. Following an initial editorial screening for scope and formatting compliance, eligible manuscripts are meticulously evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on rigorous criteria including methodological validity, originality, theoretical contributions, and clarity of presentation.

Plagiarism Alert

Zero-Tolerance Plagiarism Policy

To maintain academic integrity, the Editorial Board rigorously screens all submissions using Turnitin Plagiarism Checker. Manuscripts exhibiting a similarity index between 15% - 20% will be returned to the author for mandatory revision. Submissions exceeding a 20% similarity index, or containing clear evidence of deliberate plagiarism, will face immediate desk rejection without further review.

Types of Editorial Decisions

Accept Accepted Manuscript is accepted for publication in its current form without further revisions.
Minor Minor Revision Accepted conditionally. Authors must address minor typographical or formatting issues before the strict deadline.
Major Major Revision Substantial modifications required (e.g., methodology, data analysis). Requires a second round of review.
Reject Rejected Manuscript falls outside the scope, lacks scientific rigor, or fails to meet the minimum quality standards.

Peer Review Rigorous Peer Review Process

The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief, based entirely on the recommendations provided by the reviewers. The stringent evaluation process operates under the following standardized workflow:

01

Initial Desk Screening

Upon submission, the Editorial Office conducts a strict preliminary check. Manuscripts failing to align with the journal's focus and scope, author guidelines, or passing the plagiarism threshold will be subject to Desk Rejection.

02

Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are stripped of author identities and securely dispatched to at least two independent, highly qualified external reviewers carefully selected based on their exact field of expertise.

03

Double-Blind Evaluation

Reviewers critically evaluate the manuscript's originality, methodological soundness, and academic contribution. They submit detailed reports and recommend one of four decisions within a strictly enforced timeframe.

04

Editorial Decision & Author Revision

The Section Editor synthesizes the review reports. If revisions are required, authors are given a rigid deadline to address all reviewers' concerns. Major revisions will mandate a second round of peer review.

05

Final Verification & Acceptance

The Editor-in-Chief verifies that all revisions comply with the provided feedback. A formal Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is issued only when the manuscript satisfies all scientific and formatting standards.
