- Journal Information
Qist: Journal of Islamic Finance and Economics is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal concerned with the study of Islamic economic thought and Shariah-compliant financial practice. The title draws from the Arabic term _qist_ , meaning equity, just measure, and fair dealing, which sits at the core of Islamic economic ethics and underpins the normative framework within which Islamic finance operates. The journal publishes work that is both theoretically grounded and empirically engaged, and it welcomes contributions from scholars, regulators, and practitioners who work across the intersection of Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary economic life.
Qist considers original research articles, empirical studies, systematic reviews, and policy analyses. All manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind process by referees with relevant expertise in Islamic economics, finance, or law. The journal is published biannually, with issues appearing in June and December.
